You can actually use a script in "command before downloading". If you let it return 1, it will skip the download. I'm not quite sure how you intend to do the version comparison, but you can do pretty much any script you like (or even write a mini application in C# that returns 1 or 0 as exit code).

I'd love to see more of that You could have presented the FileHippo feature better: Instead of extracting the FileHippo-ID, you can actually just copy and paste the whole URL and let Ketarin extract the ID automatically. Regarding the pronounciation: It's actually meant more like "catering", without the emphasis on the second part of word. But I don't mind other versions.

I'll consider some day to add some kind of automated extraction, but since Ketarin can hardly bundle the extraction feature, you'd at least manually downlod 7zip and specify its path.

The problem is that an FTP "site" has no real contents that can be analysed. Instead, you should, for example, get the version number from the corresponding website and link to the FTP file directly.

FTP navigation? Why would Ketarin need such a feature? Don't see how it could be used currently.

You might want to use a variable as change indicator, like a version number on the website.

I guess I can fix that. The problem is that .NET uses "utf-16" by default if you save the XML to a string before saving it to a file. When saving the file, the encoding changes, but not the XML content.

Seems like "/log" does not currently work in /silent mode. Will fix that for the next version.

You can only use either /silent or /export, in this case /silent will be used. In any case "/silent /notify" still works fine for me regarding the execution of commands.
