You're VERY welcome... I'm glad I could help. Regarding the version, Ketarin has developed dramatically in the past few betas, which is why I updated the CNET template. The Google search portion of the template became much more reliable with the ability to add a 'variable within a regular expression' feature that Florian implemented with version 1.0.4.

1)Be sure you have followed this post step-by-step to create the template. 2)Make sure you are using Ketarin version 1.04 or higher (1.0.5 currently) available here. 3)Input Smart-Defrag at the first prompt and Smart Defrag at the second as you have apparently already done. 4)I personally tested this app with the 'CNET template' and it works. Flo has corrected this issue manually, so please disregard this previous post of mine.

A note for those wishing to import and test the two XML exports that Flo posted today for Java (JRE) and (JDK)... they both have the same 'Guid' assignment... Guid="3800febc-881d-4302-bc66-f4fd0412bbd5" which means either one will overwrite the first one imported. Just remove this info to avoid this. Flo, this beta is VERY impressive indeed! I'm a little confused about how you decided which POST data was needed as I believe FranciscoR is also... can you clarify this for us?

Thanks FranciscoR... I'm currently testing Total Commander due to your templates as I have not used it before and it appears to be very customizable. If you get the time, could you please e-mail me a list of the URLs for your favorite Total Commander add-ons, plug-ins, etc. through the forum e-mail? @FranciscoR, I worked with 'HTTPFox' extensively last night and it has quickly become one of my favorite Firefox extensions! A real productivity booster for geeks like us. I don't know how I ever made do all those years without Firefox and it's customization through extensions!

Do you have a 'version scrape' for this template... or am I missing something? POST data capability is going to broaden our horizons with Ketarin!

I agree 100% with that FranciscoR... now I've got to find some time to simplify my template collection using RTL!

I'm well aware of this FranciscoR, but IMHO that is just as cumbersome and time consuming (if not more so) than the method I currently use within Ketarin's GUI as you have to export the app entry to XML, edit it externally and then import it. Editing my 'global' app XML export with 1000+ apps is always my last resort and something I avoid if possible, so it would have to be done from an individual app entry export for me.

@FranciscoR, It's easier for me to do it this way because I almost never delete the previous download but mirror/move them to my archive folder which has the same structure. Right now, I use ~80% of the categories with 1000+ active apps and this is growing almost every day. Eventually, not only will I use all of them, I expect they will grow when I finally convert/transfer my two decades of downloads to the same archive folder structure. Obviously, this will take a considerable amount of time so I am shooting for sometime this year... maybe!

@Flo, I could definitely use the 'rename variable' feature now as one site I am using is slowly phasing in changes to their redirect method and forces me to use my {redir} variable instead of my {download_url} as the actual download link. To keep things consistent, I currently has to delete both variables and rework them from the clipboard. It would be much easier to delete my {download_url} variable and rename my {redir} variable to {download_url}. Just my take on it for your consideration.

I totally agree with that, in addition to Softpedia's hypertext inconsistencies within their app info and download pages. Man... I would hate to be their webmaster!

Actually FranciscoR, I have 1.8 Terabytes of FreeNAS and Ubuntu Server storage mapped to ALL my PCs, Macs, and BSD/Linux boxes (10+) with nearly two decades of app downloads... all the way back to early DOS days! Uh-Oh... I'm giving away my age again... now you know why my fractured ribs are so slowwww... to heal.

@FranciscoR, That's a curiously LONG 'category value' string; is this an 'all inclusive' list of the categories that you currently use from which you can select by a highlight-delete for ones unwanted? Just wondering?

@FranciscoR, Obviously... I was trying to be 'politically correct' (so to speak) in my post that 'POST data' was not currently a significant issue for me (trying not to step on Flo's toes). I CAN SEE it becoming a significant pain in the near future if the trend continues, but I'll patiently await Flo's decision to address it as for me there are NO ALTERNATIVES for Ketarin.

@FranciscoR, It's definitely beginning to annoy me having to look for alternative sources for such apps which are sometimes VERY difficult to find... recently I had to sort through eight or so Google pages to find a suitable one. Sometimes, I don't have the luxury of time to devote to the process.
