  1. For the crash...could you redownload the debug version and try once more? The error is still there, but should produce more useful information for me.
  2. Nope, I just fixed and reuploaded it. Thanks for the test case.
  3. {version} actually contains a FH.com version info by default.
  4. Usually, it would not be that easy to pass regular expressions back and forth between the applications, as long as there is no public API. I don't know whether or not there is, but such features seem somewhat detached at the moment. I'd be interested in the XML of the application where the highlighting fails, I can't reproduce it myself. And yeah, at 1:30 is certainly had my REM phase Don't know if this forum converts the date/time display for your area.
  5. Hm, doesn't make much sense to me yet. Could you possible also tell me those two folder names? Or even better, tell me what the error message shows with this version: http://ketarin.canneverbe.com/downloads/Ketarin/Ketarin-debug.zip
  6. To sum it up (for when I get back to that topic at a later time): Define a variable X. If X does change, but no update is found, show an altert. Reason: When for example a changelog page ("X") changes, but the "URL detection" has been defined incorrectly, you'll notice.
  7. I guess I'll think about that after 1.0...for the time being, you could for example post a real example to help me understand the situation. While I appreciate that you bother explaining your problems in detail, you should see the question marks that pop up over my head while reading Some examples might simplify that process...see http://i39.tinypic.com/1zxsb4i.jpg
  8. In theory, you could compile Ketarin with Mono, though I am quite confident that it will not work. Also, you could run Ketarin with .NET and Wine, which I believe does not work either. @Window sizes: They are not saved by Windows, but by Ketarin within the database. @Crash: Could you please check if a re-downloaded beta shows some more information?
  9. I don't see how this would work. If you use a variable as change indicator, Ketarin will download anyways and not perform any further checks for changes.
  10. If I do that, the icons do not necessarily fit to the current updating process. Don't know if that suits everyone? (Comments?)
  11. Still, I also need to save and load the column order, which is not as trivial as changing a property.
  12. As long as it is shown in the error dialog at the end, I don't see a problem there. It's way too complicated to exclude certain variables, it should be quite obvious anyway.
  13. So...we can have an 1.0 RC now?
  14. No, there is not. Maybe you can give me some XML?
  15. What do you mean? I don't see a problem.
  16. I thought about this as well and reuploaded a new version now which should suit your needs
  17. Lol, actually, you do leave that impression But I'm very happy of course to have users like you, because without I'd probably lose motivation
  18. If even the documentation suggests that, there won't be a problem with it.
  19. I uploaded a new version again, with a couple of GUI updates. Most importantly: The scroll position does not change anymore if you edit regular expressions or start/end of variables.
  20. 2. Ketarin.exe of course. Wouldn't make sense otherwise. 3. No, you can't. Just use the variable {appguid}.
  21. > Specify a root folder for downloads Why not define a global variable? > Create and verify subfolders based upon categories Why not do it? Use {rootfolder}\{category}\{appname}.{url:ext} as file path for any application you want to integrate into that structure. > I'm having to create my folders first You don't have to. > This app is GREAT! Thanks
  22. Yeah...I suppose it doesn't cause any problems if you can add one during update...
