You could use a PS variable. Make a PS script for checking the number of setup instructions (C#: app.SetupInstructions.Count), then create a textual variable with that script and run it with the "ps" variable function within a column.

Maybe you can narrow it down to a specific application and then send it to me? Currently I can only think of issues with regular expressions maybe. They can become quite slow in some cases, but that's nothing I could change anyway.

Can you provide more details on how to reproduce the issue? Otherwise don't expect it to be fixed

I already have one, but it doesn't seem to work well anymore. IPB4 seems to work better.

I'll order an upgrade for the "applications" list, and upgrade to IBP within a few weeks (maybe there will be a short period of time where the module will not be available). Any other wishes other than tags for the list?

Actually, it is supported, but only half working. Will fix it for the next release.
