  1. Ah, I found another optimisation. Make sure to try the next version as well
  2. Certainly possible, I jus have to think about some appropriate GUI for it.
  3. Hm, that's a little strange. For me, there is actually a notable difference. 1 thread (previous version) takes 53s, the current version with 2 threads is 41s. I'll look into a bit...
  4. http://ketarin.canneverbe.com/downloads/Ketarin/Ketarin-0.9.9.2a2.zip should work.
  5. You can use the comand line option "/SILENT" and then use the Windows task scheduler. Ketarin does not perform any checks automatically.
  6. Hm, does this version behave better? http://ketarin.canneverbe.com/downloads/Ketarin/Ketarin-0.9.9.2a2.zip
  7. Betanews and Softpedia are not supported currently. I'm not sure if I will, it depends on how reliable their download system is. In particular, many such download sites only redirect to other download locations instead of offering their own download, which is often rather troublesome.
  8. The latter dialog is more or less "usual", once you uncheck the option at the bottom Windows is satisfied.
  9. I prepared an alpha version: http://ketarin.canneverbe.com/downloads/Ketarin/Ketarin-0.9.9.2a.zip This version downloads with 2 threads (setting still missing) simultaneously, I'd appreciate if you could check how well it actually works for you. With a decent internet connection, using 2 or more threads/workers should speed up the whole process significantly.
  10. I added a section for this topic on http://cdburnerxp.se/help/kb/20 now. Should be easier to understand now.
  11. Neither the IsNullOrEmpty() nor the comparison are slow. In fact, both operations are very fast. Thus, there will be absolutely no difference when changing the order of the conditions.
  12. Ah, that could make sense. Thanks, I'll check it.
  13. Thank you as well, it's good to have a power user observing the development
  14. It will display the variable you have entered in the settings.
  15. Both actually work fine for me. If you really want to know what's going on, get VS2008 Express, load Ketarin and check the ApplicationJob.RequiresDownload() method Well, otherwise, a log file I will eventually implement might help.
  16. Regarding speed, I guess it would really make a difference if Ketarin could process multiple jobs simultaneously. But using the correct order is certainly possible as well. The command line option also makes sense.
  17. Hm, actually, importing multiple items should have worked. I just released a new version which fixes both of your issues. Regarding "multi-edit": This is rather complicated (maybe not even possible to implement in a useful way) and if at all, something for post-1.0.
  18. I'll update the Docs every one in a while, OK? So far, you can activate the custom column using the context menu of the list header.
  19. Regarding the "default path": Wouldn't it be a better idea to have a possibility to specify global variables (with name and fixed value) for use in paths and commands? This way, you could not only specify default paths, but also commands or whatever might use variables in the future.
  20. Ah, OK. I think I found the cause. Should be fixed for the RC of Ketarin. Thanks.
  21. Hm, can you reproduce this every time? Worked fine for me when I tried it.
  22. Hm, yes, I think that a {category}-variable would be quite useful.
  23. You'll not be the only one who wants such proxy settings. My personal preference is against such more or less redundant settings though.
