  1. Very interesting Flo! Is this exactly what you included in 1.5 beta 7? I may start lovin' SF again.
  2. I agree Flo, when you can work it in... of course.
  3. Sometimes, it is necessary to add some attention to certain requests. I certainly have a todo list, but I won't know the (possible) importance of some items if you don't mention the feature on a regular basis. Sorry Flo... you know this is not my normal character... I've had LITTLE time to concentrate on Ketarin as more illness has struck my family. A three-year-old with viral encephalitis... we nearly lost him, partially blinded, loss of motor control and speech. Doctors have prepared us for a long road to recovery and % of recovery is unknown. Everyone... please keep little 'Slade' in your thoughts and prayers!
  4. This would be useful indeed for me!
  5. Detailed instructions for converting old templates for compatibility... PLEASE!
  6. I can live with that. I'll just have to remember to do it.
  7. Thanks as usual Flo... I have no additional feature requests at the moment that we have not discussed previously in the forum.
  8. I have a significant number of apps (60+) with other than numbers and dots so I chose not to go that route for now.
  9. Yes Shawn, I am aware of this. Tomorrow uses {prettyversion} as personal choice. I was just trying to explain that version scraping was built-in for FileHippo.
  10. It appears VERY stable to me Josh... I updated 1357 apps with it without a glitch.
  11. So... Ketarin will download an app without version info if the version scrape fails without complaining?
  12. The 'GEEK' in me couldn't wait Flo. All I can say is AWESOME!! I LOVE the 'code snippets' and have already inserted virtually all of my batch scripts into it (copy, extract with 7zip, extract with UE, move, rename, delete, etc... This is going to make my geek life even more pleasurable. Update: Only one glitch so far... the 'post download command' window does not resize horizontally or vertically for me as the 'pre download command' window does. 12 snippets populated so far... wonderbar!! 'Install-button' alignment is correct for me with/without 'status bar'... solved indeed! Now... if I only had C# skills like Flo!
  13. I look forward to testing it this week Flo... Thanks! Enjoy your vacation and make sure your PC is completely patched, antivurus and antispyware are updated while on the 'internet cafe'. I've seen some very clever exploits lingering on them here in the states and some of my clients have fallen victim.
  14. At what is that question directed? I don't quite understand what you are trying to tell (me?). It is in reference to this:
  15. Yes indeed, I have been using it for days now and it works beautifully Flo! Thanks... as always!
  16. @Tomorrow, I have decided to do this UP-FRONT in my templates and app entries so that I can simply use {version} for my custom column and the apps will all be saved with version info to my liking. Got to love multireplace... eeeh?
  17. Indeed, I did not notice any difference in the loading time of the database Flo. For me, since I backup databases daily to my FreeNAS servers, it is just a matter of drive space.
  18. How would one know that the app entry needs to be tweaked if this is implemented other than logs or apps saved without version info?
  19. This is going to enable me to SIMPLIFY my template collection!!! Simpler is ALWAYS better!!! BTW, for Ketarin users that have not used this added function, it was actually named 'multireplace' and from Shawn's example above it would be: {version:multireplace:|:, Build| Build | part | beta | b:.|.|.|.|-} which is similar to what I am going to use to simplify my version regex scrapes in my template collection. This will allow me to eradicate Beta, Build, spaces, - , commas, _, etc. from app versions in one shot!! YEAH!!
  20. I can't remember the app as it occurred at a time when I was extremely busy and did not document it... if it happens again, I WILL document it thoroughly. BTW, I am using SQLite Database Browser from SourceForge to compact my database files on a regular basis. It works like a charm SO FAR! I keep backups in case something go wrong of course. I added it to the 'Send To' folder just for compacting purposes.
  21. @Tomorrow, I think you have misinterpreted what Flo and I are saying... users DO NOT NEED to capture the version info of FileHippo downloads with Ketarin at all. FileHippo (and FileHippo ONLY) is a special case and the ability to capture version info for their apps is BUILT-IN to Ketarin's code. TEST IT WITH A NEW FIleHippo app entry and toggle the avoid/download selections and you will see the captured version info in either case is correct. BTW... post #667...
  22. Flo... can you add a count of the number of 'disabled' apps to the status bar for me at some point?
  23. @Flo, Just wanted to let you know what happened to my Jobs.db file a couple of weeks ago. Apparently something went horribly wrong during a Ketarin update of my 1300+ apps. It appears a site changed and made one of my redirect variables an active download which stored nearly 6MB extraneous data from that in the Jobs.db. How is that possible? I compacted the database and all was well which leads me to my next questions. What method do you prefer/recommend for compacting the database and can this be a built in option for Ketarin in the future?
