This version downloads with 2 threads (setting still missing) simultaneously, I'd appreciate if you could check how well it actually works for you. With a decent internet connection, using 2 or more threads/workers should speed up the whole process significantly.

Neither the IsNullOrEmpty() nor the comparison are slow. In fact, both operations are very fast. Thus, there will be absolutely no difference when changing the order of the conditions.

Both actually work fine for me. If you really want to know what's going on, get VS2008 Express, load Ketarin and check the ApplicationJob.RequiresDownload() method
Well, otherwise, a log file I will eventually implement might help.

Regarding speed, I guess it would really make a difference if Ketarin could process multiple jobs simultaneously. But using the correct order is certainly possible as well.
The command line option also makes sense.

Hm, actually, importing multiple items should have worked. I just released a new version which fixes both of your issues.
Regarding "multi-edit": This is rather complicated (maybe not even possible to implement in a useful way) and if at all, something for post-1.0.

So far, you can activate the custom column using the context menu of the list header.

Regarding the "default path": Wouldn't it be a better idea to have a possibility to specify global variables (with name and fixed value) for use in paths and commands? This way, you could not only specify default paths, but also commands or whatever might use variables in the future.

You'll not be the only one who wants such proxy settings. My personal preference is against such more or less redundant settings though.

Ketarin uses the proxy settings of Internet Explorer. There you can configure anything you need.

XPredit won't work, because you need to get it from RapidShare. These guys certainly have taken the appropriate measures to prevent automated downloading.
Otherwise, downloading Heidisql works fine for me, if you use the {build}-URL (although it is not possible to actually show the progress here). I'm not sure if it is possible to make use of the latest_build.php page, but I'll check it. Client side redirections are somewhat a problem.
And the column you are looking for is there, you only need to enable it.

1.0 does not yet have to be fully feature complete though. It just be a solid base for future development.

I really would like Ketarin to display the latest version numberEasy to do. You can enable the custom column which is based on variables and define the variable name in the settings.
There is a command line switch, which is /SILENT. The command line output does not yet work properly though, will follow in the next version.

Betanews and Softpedia are not supported currently. I'm not sure if I will, it depends on how reliable their download system is. In particular, many such download sites only redirect to other download locations instead of offering their own download, which is often rather troublesome.
