I see.I never use this feature myself (currently at 154 apps).I suppose this is a lifesaver for those who have a lot of apps.

Copy that.No hurry as i have set it to a predefined textual content for the time being(i still use uT 1.8.5 anyway since 2.0+ was pretty bad when it came out).I just keep the updated stable version package for testing purposes.

Just a heads up:Ketarin 1.5 is now out of Beta and featured in main site downloads Just noticed today. Small question too.Are you able to get http://user.utorrent.com/downloads to show anything meaningful on variables?.I tried to set the start/end tags and Ketarin shows that URL is loaded.I am able to successfully set the tags and save settings but when i check for update it fails.When i open variables it shows http://user.utorrent.com/downloads and just 3 letters of gibberish in the field where website contents should be.Very odd.

Yeah i have been slow.Each day i think...ok today i make it and then it´s like...blah I had already compiled a start so i will now add this to yours. What i think is important in there is to define both the possible reasons and possible solutions to error messages. Not just error - do this - ok Because understanding the reason behind the error allows to avoid this error in the future or atleast reduce the frequency of encountering it.Also several errors have more than one possible reason and solution. EDIT: Ok i have now introduced the changes i mentioned.Also added the 403 and 404 errors to the list. We still need more error examples tho so people if you have got some errors in the past that are NOT on the list then let us know what was the reason and how you resolved it.It would be much appreciated and would greatly help new Ketarin users in the future!.

Hmm.Intresting idea.Shouldn´t this be in Feature Requests tho? I use Firefox and Update Scanner daily so i know exactly what you mean. How about using RSS on these other computers?.I mean yeah it´s not ideal either but still. Or maybe ask Update Scanner developer to make the code opensource or to make a standalone app? My main problem with this is that if this feature were integrated fully into Ketarin then how do i distinguish between apps and websites?.They can be sorted yes but it would still be a mess imo.

Meaning changes are not saved after you switch to another tab? I mean in the end you have to click ok one way or another in order to test/run the update. And if you swear when you have just clicked ok and forgot something and have to reopen it then well...happens to everyone

Yeah especially Filehippo.Even with conservative setting sometimes half of Filehippo apps time out on me. It´s not my fault tho.It´s Filehippo´s. Why?.All changes are retained even if you switch between tabs.Just leave something for last to close with ok.

Title of this topic still says beta 9... Also for future maybe add an fixed URL for betas so we can download them with ketarin? Meaning i launch Ketarin and look...whoa Florian released a new beta.Nice.Downloading now.Becuse i can`t really predict download links in forum posts.I mean i can make a new entry "Ketarin Beta" and add http://ketarin.org/downloads/Ketarin/Ketarin-{version}.zip as url but then where would i get the latest beta number other than forum post? Hence why i wish a fixed URL for future betas/test versions.Hope it´s not too much trouble. Small idea.Maybe add "Latest Version" entry or something similar to wiki along with download link?.Then i can extract it from there Well if an installer is provided along with zipped version then i don`t have a problem.However if it replaces the zipped version then it´s a little bad.

I have started to make the Troubleshooting downloads page and i would like you to submit download errors that you have got when using Ketarin.Also if possible what was the cause and how you fixed it! The following errors are already included since these are the most common: AppName The operation has timed out (Download Address) AppName The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. (Download Address) AppName The downloaded file is not a binary file type (text/html; charset=UTF-8). Possibly there is an error page. Status code: 200 (OK) (Download Address)

Seems to work fine for me.Generates correct XML file with expected size.

Hmm very intresting.Has anyone else noticed that Ketarin 1.5b9 now starts faster? Or is it just me? Well it's not like it was a lagger before but there is a noticeable difference now compared to 1.5b8

Roger that.Got several different ones:extracting certain file/name types from subfolders in archive,extracting all but certain filetypes,extracting and copying extracted files to several folders in system without overwrite prompt,auto installing extracted drivers with DPInst.exe and so on.My post download commands file is about 230 lines at the moment so there won't be any shortage of examples. I´m sure other have even way more complex commands.Tho im not sure how many people have any useful C# scripts examples to submit?. Also small question: The "Setup instructions" page - i assume this is for app installs(silent etc) and not how to set Ketarin up in a clean system? Because i have done lot of digging and i could make a whole table of apps an their installer types/switches and examples on how to use them .I was planning on posting this as a thread in Tips and Tricks forum but i think it would look nicer in Wiki.

The first address is pretty much dead to me as i lost the credientials and google refused to give me new ones.Tho from what i understand it is still functional as MSN works with it. Second one is not a problem either as gmail has the best spamfilter in the world.I rarely get 1 spam a week and even that lands in spam folder.Pretty amazing as most people are drowning into spam and when i tell them i get 1 spam a week they are like ??
