  1. Wow.

I like it. I believe it's one of the coolest forum templates I have seen recently.

    And it's fast.

WYSIWYG editor is really neat, also sidebar for recent topics is quite handy.

    Few things:

*Was unable to login with my password.Kept saying it was wrong.Had to restore and now works.

*Flash based login form does not allow Firefox to automatically enter password when username is entered into the form.Atleast the browser still remembers the username and password. It's just unable to enter those like on non-flash login forms, and if user is logged aout he/she needs to re-enter the password manually or copy it from browsers password manager.

    No problem here with login.

Not sure what software you are using, but maybe you need to redefine placeholder location?

  2. This is due to recent SSL problems, not sure what Mozilla did in other builds. Probably worth checking.

    This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect

securely to ketarin.org, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely,

sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are

going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

    What Should I Do?

    If you usually connect to

this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is

trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

    Technical Details

ketarin.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:

    forum.cdburnerxp.se , www.forum.cdburnerxp.se

    (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

  3. Hello,

It's been a while since I posted here, nice to be back. Just wondering, any chance of improving search toolbar? Functionally, I think it's okay however it could be more userfriendly like, for instance, Firefox 'find bar'. Any chance of creating some checkboxes (...) for the following search options:

    inurl:x

    incommand:x

    invarname:x

    invarurl:x

I forget these all the time. Thanks :)

  4. Lately, I'm getting lots of this message:

Failed, The operation has timed out.

It happens mainly on FileHippo. For example, I'll run an Update and half of my FileHippo programs get updated and half fail. I'll do another update right away, and the other half fail. Doesn't seem consistent.

I have just done a full update and cannot confirm this. Do you have all Filehippo ID's upadted?

What are the best Connection settings for Threads, Timeout and Number of Retries?

This is a matter of personal preference, available bandwith, available resources, etc. I use 15:5:2

  5. Well things haven't changed much arround here.

I'm surprised the latest beta hasn't qualified to the stable channel since release 1.6.0.4 is, in my oppinion, the best and most useful Ketarin I have ever tried.

Two features i'm still missing, installation sort order and Ketarin auto-update/upgrade for the stable and beta channels. Maybe in the next development cycle we can have that. ;)

  6. It looks very interesting. Obviously designed for people that don't know (or want to know) how to download updates or select the right install options.

However, that's exactly why it scares me. I would hate to have an automated installation script deciding every option, every feature, and whether I want the latest crapware that the vendor is pushing as an added install option (defaulted to "yes" of course)...something like this would bypass the ability to ensure that those options were selected properly.

I guess, for the most part, this other app would be great for the moron crowd, while Ketarin is obviously far more feature-rich and capable. Two different markets, two different purposes.

Yes i agree with this, defenitly NOT the type of application i'm interested, too limited. Besides, this it's only good to install pre-selected software, no good for me

  7. I have gotten rid all my Filehippo downloads. Now it takes less than a minute(50-55secs) to check all my apps

Yep so do i, except for Avira and MBAM (the alternatives i tried so far are actually worse) i removed all my Filehippo jobs for the very same reason. Hate slow servers. One the other hand, newly implemented sf:// protocol is working like a charm, congrats Flo :-)

  8. Well, Ketarin is not a database browser and i suspect it never will. For more advanced stuff, like searching data in multiple tables, whatever, you are always going to need to go "thru another program". And besides, only a percentage of data in 'jobs' table is currently available "thru infinite custom columns". :) But don't get me wrong, i don't mind having these features at all, i'm just not sure how many people will actually use it and it seems to require a lot of coding when you have a simple alternative, but i leave that to Flo.

  9. Dunno why but most of my jobs fail to install without internet connection, the one's i pasted below don't use Filehippo or try to resolve version

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

  11. Last four are already available if you open and query Ketarin db with an sqlite browser

    http://www.sqlite.org/cvstrac/wiki?p=ManagementTools

Being a little conservative, i still think + people could take advantage of a sort installation feature as this would allow to install runtimes + applications or applications + plugins in this specific order.

I would also like to have an option to disable 'error window', since i don't use it, and another to disable 'installing applications window' since i prefer to follow Ketarin progress by log only.

  12. No, this sript has only the 6 lines you see in screenie. Generally speaking, most of my setup instructions, individually, are just 2-3 lines tops, although i may add more when testing ... so for me, if you could create a rule to display the first 3 lines of the script if they are available, that would be helpful ... even for scripts with more than 10 lines (wouldn't mind opening those)

  13. Okay, another tiny suggestion now that i had some time to make a screenie ... plz adjust the height of the script in display to the number of lines available in the script ... this way i can read all, comments and instructions without the need to open edit window, no need to guess anything, also reserve the edit button to edit ... and not to view ;-)
