How to delete the target directories?

how can I delete all files and subdirectories from the target?

 

for example I want to "clean" {root}\PortableApps\a-squared_usb\ before extracting the archive to there

rmdir "{root}\PortableApps\a-squared_usb" /S /Q

mkdir "{root}\PortableApps\a-squared_usb"
