Guest copypasta
I would like Ketarin to download the latest copy of Tor Browser Bundle. Link to homepage https://www.torproje...browser.html.en The most recent download link: https://www.torproje....25-1_en-US.exe I have tried using variables for Ketarin to find the most up-to-date download link but I am running into problems. Here is the index I am using (I paste this into: Contents from URL) https://www.torproje...ist/torbrowser/ I click Load and it shows the index / lists all the names of the downloads available. Something like this: <img src="/icons/binary.gif" alt="[ ]"> <a href="tor-browser-2.3.25-1_en-US.exe">tor-browser-2.3.25-1_en-US.exe</a> I then use search within contents for en-US.exe Ketarin does not find a download link/binary file to download. I would appreciate help on how to fix this, thanks.

necrox
Hey, sorry for the delay. The most recent download links and version numbers are on the main page: https://www.torproje...browser.html.en So that's the site you need. The quick'n'dirty thing below works fine for me: As you can see, I use {url} as download link. Maybe you want to use https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/tor-browser-{version}_en-US.exe as download source instead of the {url} variable... Guest copypasta
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Worked great! By the way your {version} variable in the target path is pretty nifty; I'm going to use that in all of my apps. Thanks again!

Guest anonym
Can you please explain me the end-to-end correlation thing. If I get it correctly(according to the diagram) the connection to tor is encrypted, unencrypted is only the connection from the last node to the final destination. So the anonymity can be broken only if the attacker is watching both the last node and the traffic going out of the targeted person´s computer(going to the tor) OR is it enough(possible) to watch both the first node and the last node(or the final destination). It makes big difference, because in the second case whoever´s traffic can be simply traced back just by monitoring the enter nodes. Thank you for the answer
necrox
Hi, TOR does not builds an encrypted connection to your destination (the encryption is limited to the TOR network). Once an attacker monitors the exit server (third server), the connection is not secure. The attacker has the possibility to read your entire data traffic. The "good" thing: the attacker knows only the IP address of the second server and your data traffic, but not your real IP address. Anyway, whenever possible, use an encrypted connection. (e.g. https connections).
