[How to ignore minor version number changes?]

Hi,

Only way i know how to do this is to monitor version and to manually download file when major build is available.

If i'm not mistaken you can only use 'Avoid Beta Versions' with Filehippo.com website.

beta and major build versions are separate things...

 

1.15.24, 1.15.25, 1.15.26, 1.15.27, 1.15.28, 1.15.29 can all be NOT beta, and therefore, will be downloaded

i don't really think it's necessary to have the "install program" option, but i'd definitely appreciate the "extract" options, especially if it supports those exe's that CAN be extracted (coz winrar would extract them). i know there are ways to sort of do that, but it's not entirely reliable (i've got an exe that can be extracted by winrar but not uniextract, the taught method in the forum somewhere - problem is i want my drive to be self sustainable, i.e. no need to rely on the host computer to have certain softwares or anything...everything runs off the portable drive). i don't know how hard it will be, or what the licensing issues there will be (coz presumably you'll use some libs from somewhere), but it'd be awesome if ketarin comes with that functionality. i'd even gladly donate some (just some...) money for that!

 

actually i'm more than happy to donate some money now but you don't have that on your website. maybe you can add a paypal link to your homepage in the meantime

i'm actually looking to download the traditional chinese and simplified chinese versions, as they come in handy sometimes...

 

that said, i didn't know adobe reader has multi-language support these days. so presumably i can get traditional and simplified chinese as well that way?

i've got a question...precisely regarding adobe reader, actually

 

Example #1

version = 9.0

 

hxxp://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/{version:split:.:0}.x/{version}/deu/AdbeRdr{version:replace:.:}_de_DE.exe

 

results in

 

hxxp://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.0/deu/AdbeRdr90_de_DE.exe

 

this is fine for 9.0, but now with 9.3, the filename/url becomes hxxp://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/deu/AdbeRdr930_de_DE.exe, but the version is reported as 9.3...so how can i get the extra 0 in the filename?
