Guest User
Using FileHippo ID of vlc no longer downloads VLC. Instead, it produces an error VLC Media Player The downloaded file is not a binary file type (text/html; charset=utf-8). Possibly there is an error page. Status code: 200 (OK) (http://www.filehippo.com/download/file/793fef0d429c08a4ba2f9b78c1e96b4e04af410f4cc67ac272ef90e06950a2a3) This is probably related to the layout of the FileHippo VLC page as it looks non-standard, having a "Download Latest Version" that directs you to sourceforge and a "FileHippo Mirror" link that provides the standard FileHippo download. Guest Jesse
I have the same issue. Noticed it last night. Any ideas for a fix?
shawn
Use the SourceForge template (you can find it in the Templates section of the forum) and download it from there directly. The slug/sftag is "vlc" and if you use a template that requires a path fragment base you can use "[\d\.]+" to select the most current version.
