The last one i unrelated.I have been getting this lately.Number of timeouts seems to have come down since i last checked.Now it´s only FH.Im pretty sure the problem is at their end.

I have gotten rid all my Filehippo downloads.Now it takes less than a minute(50-55secs) to check all my apps(Currently @ 165).

 

Also i got an error.I think Ketarin was unable to add this app to online database for some reason:

Yep so do i, except for Avira and MBAM (the alternatives i tried so far are actually worse) i removed all my Filehippo jobs for the very same reason. Hate slow servers. One the other hand, newly implemented sf:// protocol is working like a charm, congrats Flo :-)

Can we have an option where the dialog actually says what apps are going to be updated?

...

Maybe even an option to ignore online database updates?

 

+1. This has me terrified each time an update is pushed thru the database.

 

Or perhaps the ability to view changes or compare in order to perform an integration, like with WinMerge. Buttons could be "ignore", "update", "view changes".

!Fixed: No longer tries to determine the FH version info unnecessarily

 

Can you please make it possible that custom variables can rely on their FH or Pad files of the same name? That way we can "correct" things like version number easily based on the original FH/Pad value?

 

For example, my "version" variable for Picasa is assigned to:

{version:replace: Build :.}

In this case, since it is in the "custom variable" for "version", it would add the FH variable for version to the pre-assignments, resulting in "3.8.117.24".

Hmm it seems i can't edit a single app.When i click edit in rightclick menu nothing happens.

Me thinks this is due to some corrupted things in my db.I initially could not import anything at all but i determined the faulty app by trial and error.Now i will try the same.When i used fresh db and imported from online db then edit worked.

 

EDIT: Whew.A lot of manual work but it's done.Everything works again.Seems that b4 did not like b3 settings for some reason.On a clean db File-Settings-Import resulted in EDIT command not working in rightclick menu.

 

Seems tho that i can't import some apps from online database that are based on a prototype templates.Also several of my previously saved templates are no longer importable either from online db or local drive.Says XML error.

I indeed just found a bug in this beta, reuploaded now, editing apps should work. Again, no DB corruption. You should really get this out of your mind, all of you :-p

 

@Alex131089: The change applies when opening the website only. Variables are always visible in the app list (like target file). You can also make a custom column though with property "ExpandedWebsiteUrl".
