necrox
How about subcategories for the existing categories? It would be an easier way to sort all downloads.
floele
Why not use Cat1/Cat2 or any other syntax?
CybTekSol
@necrox, Look at some of FranciscoR's templates... if I recall correctly, he used a similar method at one time.
djago
I think it's cleaner and simpler to use a subcategory in the main program than to use a nested syntax. For example if I have CCCP in Multimedia, Codecs and I can just put {category}\{subcaetgory}\{url:file}. If I have a category Multimedia\Codecs then I have to use some obscure (to me) expression in order to generate the same path.
shawn
You can use a custom variable and name it subcategory. This will give you what you're after. You can even use the same destination path in your template and it'll convert to something like .\media\codecs\cccp.ext for those with the subcategory and .\tools\\procexp.ext for those without (which will still work correctly). djago
Yes, there are workarounds. xx/yy is also a solution, And there may be more, but it would be nicer if Ketarin has explicitly a field in the windows right after Category where you can write subcategory! GaronneBC
Also you should be able to use multireplace or regexreplace to convert any cat/subcat style category field to cat\subcat for your path as long as you stick to one format ("cat/subcat" or "cat - subcat" or whatever) generating a replace-operation for your path-result should be fairly simple.
