Append File Extension

When saving to a file as the download location, could there be an option to automatically append the correct file extension? Save to file is a useful option for applications originally called "setup.exe" or the like, but sometimes I rename the file to ".exe" when it's actually a ".zip" or ".msi" and it screws it up and I have to fiddle around until I figure out what it actually is. I would like to be able to specify "...\AppSetup" and then let Ketarin automatically append the correct file extension to it, to avoid this problem.

You could use built-in variables for that: {url:basefile}{version}.{url:ext}

 

if download url is aaaaaaa/bbbbb/myfile.myext

then

{url:basefile}= myfile

{url:ext} = myext

Thanks! This is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Are there other built in variables?

 

(Word of warning: {version} is NOT a built in variable unless you're using a FileHippo ID)
