Anonymous
Just created my first new profile in 1.8.7, and noticed {version} (one that I declared in variables) wasn't getting resolved in the regular expression field. Wondering why this wasn't working, I created another variable with a textual content value. This didn't resolve either. Before this build I was running 1.8.6.600. I relaunched this version, opened the same profile, and it worked just fine.
Guest Johnny_Net
Hey, I think I have the same issue. A lot of my version-variables remain empty. Could you upload version 1.8.6.600 somewhere?
Anonymous
600 was beta2 and looks to be removed from the forum, but 1.8.6.700 is still listed in the 1.8.7 thread: https://ketarin.org/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=
Guest Johnny_Net
Yes, but 1.8.6.700 was eventually released as 1.8.7 So if I assume this to be a bug in 1.8.7, I should probably get an earlier version. Too bad there is no version history available.

Guest Johnny_Net
I stand corrected. I'll try with an older version an report back.
Anonymous
I tried 1.8.6.700 as it was newer than what I was previously using, and it appears that this version also has the bug I've described. Although, while I was doing this, I noticed something new to include. The bug only occurs when viewing the regex match in the Edit Variables dialog box. Existing profiles that worked in a previous version continue to update successfully.
floele
I'm not quite sure what the issue is...could you provide me with a screenshot and the actual application (if that is sufficient for reproducing the issue)?
Anonymous
In versions of Ketarin before 1.8.7, the matched regex would be highlighted. In 1.8.7, it doesn't match at all. I've attached a sample profile: ketarin.txt
shawn
I've been seeing the same behavior. Any new app that has regex parsing including variables (in curly braces) no longer work on new profiles or new fields. This worked in previous versions but hasn't in a few months. So far I've been able to find alternative methods of getting the same content, but it would be easier if I could continue to use a literal variable within the regex pattern as so: (setup_[^'"]+{version}.msi) This no longer works on new apps. MAPJe71
Have the same issue with 1.8.7.0, very annoying/inconveniant.
