From Adobe:

To improve security for all Flash Player users, we will be decommissioning the following distribution pages and download links:

Starting January 22nd, 2016: https://www.adobe.co...tribution3.html

Starting June 15th, 2016: https://www.adobe.co...tribution4.html

The replacement for these pages will be live on December 8th, 2015: https://www.adobe.co...stribution.html
To access this page, you will need a valid Adobe ID and have a current license. If your license has expired, you can re-apply starting on December 8th, 2015 by visiting the Adobe Flash Player Distribution page. When applying you will be required to create an Adobe ID if you do not have one. The rest of the application process remains unchanged.

This means you'll need to use the Ketarin POST methods to authenticate your Adobe ID starting next year in order to access versioned Flash distribution files. :(

When the time comes, I'll post a modified Flash app profile demonstrating how to access thru the new authentication layer.

It would be actually great, if you could.  :)

Has anyone already created a new Flash app profile?

They haven't actually imposed this new change yet, so I haven't bothered. My existing Flash profiles continue to work fine without authentication.

It looks like this change has now been implemented... The url has changed from:

http://fpdownload.ma...24_active_x.exe

to

https://fpdownload.m...24_active_x.exe

...but trying this is Ketarin gives the following error:

Flash Player IE The downloaded file is not a binary file type (text/html; charset=UTF-8). Possibly there is an error page. Status code: 200 (OK) (https://fpdownload.m...24_active_x.exe)

If I paste the URL in to Chrome, it takes me to https://www.adobe.co...tribution5.html where I need to log on to download.  Is there a method to download these files?  I do have a Distribution agreement.

Thanks

I use a different pattern and it still works:

fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/24.0.0.194/install_flash_player.exe
fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/24.0.0.194/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Use the full version number in the URL. I have used curl, wget and ketarin without any problems.

Thanks for that... do you know of another url for the .msi versions?

you can pick up the appropriate version number for the URLs above from the Flash About page here:

http://www.adobe.com...re/flash/about/

Here's the RX recipes I use:

NPAPI[^<]*</td>[\s\r\n\t]*<td[^>]*>([\d\.]+)

Internet Explorer[^<]+</td>[\s\r\n\t]+<td[^>]*>([\d\.]+)

Macintosh.+?</td>[\s\r\n\t]+<td[^>]*>[^>]+</td>[\s\r\n\t]+<td[^>]*>([\d\.]+)

They've changed the code a couple times in the past which is why it's written to be tolerant of stray attributes in each element.

Thank you for sharing this!

For me the best solution is the xml file from their update server:

http://fpdownload2.m...n_en_win_pl.xml

http://fpdownload2.m...n_en_mac_pl.xml

that's awesome. i didn't know that existed - it will surely make it more reliable to pull version numbers. in the past their help/about page was littered with null characters that ketarin choked on so part of my process has been to keep a second copy of the code from that page to automate the stripping of funky characters in order to have the version numbers in a safe place. those xml files are going to ease that process quite a bit. thank you!

ok, I was trying to find a couple of the other variations (not just mac and win-IE plugin versions) and discovered these:

https://fpdownload.m...urrentmajor.xml

https://fpdownload.m...xml/version.xml

Replace the 24 in the second URL with the current major version number from the currentmajor.xml URL and you can get all five variations full version number.

The biggest difference between these URLs and those above is that this one does not provide a changelog (which sucks), but I suspect the changelog between versions is going to be pretty darn close to the same, so the english version for current version with the changelog is:

http://fpdownload2.m...n_en_win_pl.xml

Nice! This makes it perfect now to determine the current version of every single installer :D Thank you for playing around with this!
