Guest driscoll42
Hello, I am attempting to use Ketarin to download the latest Dolphin Dev Builds. While I can access https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/builds/ if I go to variables and attempt to scrape from there, whenever I use https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ to scrape from I get the following error: The contents of the URL can not be loaded: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel. I tried searching for a solution to this error but have come up empty-handed. Any suggestions?
shawn
The contents of that URL are over 3mb. I suspect that it's simply timing out. Consider increasing the time out (file, settings, connection, connection time out), and try again.
Guest driscoll42
Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it out and it didn't seem to solve the issue. I'm not getting a timeout I think. The error result is instantaneous. I can reproduce it by this: Make a new "Dolphin" application -> Next to URL click "Variables" -> add new variable named "version" -> In "Contents from URL" paste in https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ -> Click "Load". You should get the error about TLS/SSL secure channel error immediately, easily under a second. The contents of https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/builds/ load after maybe 30 seconds, but the /download link is the one I really want if possible. shawn
Ah-ha! It's actually requesting a client certificate, which is why negotiation is failing. There's probably a fix that can be made to ignore client-certificate requests. @Floele -- can you look into that?
shawn
A temporary solution would be to use a proxy to scalp the content of the site. For example: https://us-free-proxy.cyberghostvpn.com/go/browse.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fdolphin-emu.org%2Fdownload%2F&b=7&f=norefer This works for me. Guest driscoll42
Well, now, doesn't that just work gorgeously? Many thanks! Would be nice to not use a proxy but this is certainly a useful hack for now.
floele
Hm actually Ketarin already has some ignore bad SSL certificates etc. mechanism in place. I have no idea why it still doesn't like this website, will try to get some insight on that.
floele
OK I think I fixed this for the next version.
Anonymous
Is this something that has resurfaced? I've noticed two of my profiles are getting this error in 1.8.6+. https://processing.org/ https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov
Anonymous
I may have found the reason this is happening. http://blogs.perficient.com/microsoft/2016/04/tsl-1-2-and-net-support/ .NET 4.5. TLS 1.2 is supported, but it’s not a default protocol. You need to opt-in to use it. processing.org only supports TLS 1.2https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=processing.org
