FranciscoR
Hey flo, I've been playing with Default command box and I noticed that global variables are not replaced when you insert a command. Also, the special variable {f:dd} doesn't seem to work either, although {hh}, {mm}... works. Edited January 12, 2009 by FranciscoR
floele
Global variables work fine for me. The f: variables are only meant to work for the target location.
FranciscoR
You mean in the Default command box ? I introduced {rem1}=rem, and in the end I get only... {rem1}, not "rem".
floele
Yes, works for me.
FranciscoR
Sorry, now I remember know what my problem was and I reproduce it again. Use {rem1}=rem, and it works, command is not executed. Use {rem1} w/var value empty, and command is not properly executed: 12-01-2009 15:40:27: Update started with 1 application(s) 12-01-2009 15:40:34: WinRar: Checking if update is required... 12-01-2009 15:40:34: WinRar: Update required, 'D:\Programas\Unpack\wrar380.exe' does not yet exist 12-01-2009 15:40:45: WinRar: Executing command: {rem1} dir D:\Programas/o:e-s /s > D:\Programas\List.txt & echo %DATE% %TIME% WinRar >> D:\Programas\Updates.txt 12-01-2009 15:40:45: WinRar: Command result: D:\Ketarin>{rem1} dir D:\Programas/o:e-s /s > D:\Programas\List.txt & echo %DATE% %TIME% WinRar >> D:\Programas\Updates.txt D:\Ketarin> 12-01-2009 15:40:45: Update finished In the above situation, List.txt is empty because {rem1} is in place, and it shouldn't be. floele
Yeah, this is because empty variables are just ignored. I'll change that for the next version a bit.
