I think a default value is useless here. In most cases you'd have to change it anyway, because you'll have way more than one category and it's not very likely that the default category matches the application you downloaded.

It'll use default values only for those information that is not downloaded from the online database.

In this particular case, no file name is given, so the downloaded file cannot be saved. You should specify a file location instead of a folder.

Not sure...variables are not necessarily URLs.

I actually believe that Ketarin is not popular enough for sourceforge to care about it. They probably just keep redesigning their site based on the feedback they get. What I have been saying is just that Ketarin will not be easy to lock out, but if you go through the efforts of changing your HTML code all the time, it will make Ketarin less useful of course.

I'd guess that no .NET 2.0 is installed or your download/.NET is corrupt.

Not necessarily "crazy" ideas, but anything that makes the service more interesting and fits to the goal of the project Feel free to explain your ideas in detail, and why you need them (or even better, why others need them too). Didn't know the Pipes thing yet, but it seems to head for a bit different direction. BTW, please post examples for feeds with images. It'll help me to figure out which methods authors use to display images for an item.

If you put the DB in the same folder as the exe, it will be portable already.

Yep, and it caused other strange issues so it has been removed.
